George Wilkinson

A professional lifetime in law, wide experience in a range of non-executive director, chair, and trustee roles, and extensive research with partners in a number of the UK’s leading law firms, have given George a real world understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved in a wide variety of career transitions.

George brings to each coaching engagement a practical and effective approach that is grounded in his deep knowledge of and his own experience both in and working for professional services firms.

Alongside working with Milestones and acting as a mentor to young lawyers, George chairs Bridge Support, a SE London based charity providing care and support to people with enduring mental ill health, is a trustee of a South West arts and crafts education charity, and serves as Lead Governor of a mental health NHS Foundation Trust.

George has more than 40 years’ experience as a trusted professional adviser/director/chair “in the boardroom” of a diverse range of UK companies, public sector bodies, and charities. Coupled with this are the insights George has gained from extensive research with partners in a number of the UK’s leading law firms, giving him a real understanding of the challenges involved in a wide variety of career transitions.

George brings to each coaching engagement a practical and effective approach grounded in a deep knowledge of and experience in professional services firms.

Alongside working with Milestones, George chairs a charity in South East London, is Secretary to a charitable foundation, and serves as a Governor of a mental health NHS Foundation Trust.
